After leaving Fairport Convention in late 1969, Sandy Denny formed Fotheringay with husband Trevor Lucas. After one UK Top 20 LP in summer 1970, the band split while recording a follow up, leaving Denny free to make solo albums. From it's David Bailey cover photo inwards, 1972's Sandy is arguably the definitive Sandy Denny album. Recorded at John Wood's Sound Techniques studio, and produced by Trevor Lucas, it adds some special guests into it's mix - 'Sneaky' Pete Kleinow from The Flying Burrito Brothers enhances 'It'll Take A Long Time' with his unmistakable pedal steel playing, and New Orleans legend Allan Toussaint adds a brass arrangement to 'For Nobody To Hear'. But it is Denny's album. Often, it is impossible not be stopped in your tracks by that beautiful, long gone yet so-full-of-life voice, especially on two of her career-bests - 'The Lady' and 'Listen, Listen'. Out of print on LP for a number of years, this re- issue faithfully replicates the original 1972 Island Records UK release."

Taste: While the product doesn’t taste bad, preparing it as directed results in a very mild orange flavor. -as a drink I would prefer more flavor. Texture: The psyllium husk absorbs water extremely quickly—even in cold or room-temp water—which is just the nature of the ingredient itself. Because it starts to gel so fast, you have to chug it, and even then it can be difficult to get down. (I personally gag at it, but I have sensory issues) If the gel like texture is an issue for you, I found it more palatable mixed into food with water on the side. Texture aside, the product itself is highly effective. Mixability: It doesn’t always mix smoothly and tends to clump. Again nature of the ingredient not the brand. The powder is very fine and non-gritty perfect for other mixings. Side effects: I had uncomfortable bloating the first time (2 scoops/ full glass), I recommend starting with (1 scoop or less/full glass) Dont rush it. Increase it from there as you grow tolerance. You may feel very full. - it helped me eat less!
