Wonki Ware's high-quality glazed stoneware is extremely durable and suitable for everyday use.  Glazes are non-toxic and lead-free. Items are hand-made, thus minor discrepancies in size, shape, and color can be expected, and are seen to contribute to the natural beauty of the product. Product colors can be specified, but printed items are a mixed assortment across a variety of designs and patterns.

Each piece is carefully handcrafted by local South Africans under the direction of master potter Di Marshall.  Regional fabric is carefully pressed into the clay as it is formed over the molds, creating a wonderful (imprinted) texture that captures the glaze darker in deeper parts of each piece.  Every piece of Wonki Ware passes through 14 hands before being completed.
