Phenomenal, museum-worthy vintage Kansai Yamamoto jacket from Fall/Winter 1981, shown here documented on the runway, and as part of The Met's collection in an alternative color. Part bomber-part varsity jacket, this piece features a chocolate brown corduroy body, with creamy beige faux-leather sleeves. Mesmerizing embroidery at the left front chest and backside, featuring a Foo Dog in vivid, vibrant colors , and a large scale Kansai signature in black tinsel and golden thread. Puffy arms lined in black quilted nylon. Puffy body fully lined in intricate brown/beige knit. Unbelievable, convertible collar that snaps at the neck to stand, unsnaps to create sailor style collar, and also zips up to become a full hood, complete with drawstrings. Padded Shoulder. Ribbed cuff and waist/hip band. Shown on the women's collection runway, but absolutely suitable for any gender.

Condition: Excellent overall condition. Some slight variation in color to the faux leather sleeves that is very minimal. Some minor markings here and there to the corduroy, as expected with this type of fabric. You will not be disappointed in this incredible piece.
